How to read a CBD lab report

A certificate of analysis can add useful evidence, but only when it is current, batch-matched and read with its units and limits intact.

Tick only what the report actually shows.

Units and detection limits matter

Results may be expressed as a percentage, mg/g, mg/ml or another unit. Compare like with like. “ND” means not detected above the method’s reporting threshold; it is not the same as proving that absolutely none is present.

What a COA cannot establish alone

That the document belongs to the product in hand without a matching batch.
That every possible contaminant was tested.
That the product is authorised or lawfully marketed.
That CBD will produce a particular health outcome.
