Key takeaways

  • Compare the measurable label facts before interpreting marketing language.
  • Use current manufacturer information and official UK sources.
  • The FSA advises healthy adults to limit CBD from food to 10mg a day.
  • This guide does not diagnose, prescribe or recommend CBD for symptoms.

Percentage is a concentration shorthand

On common oil labels, 1% is approximately 10mg/ml. That makes 5% about 50mg/ml, 10% about 100mg/ml and 20% about 200mg/ml. Confirm the actual manufacturer label because presentation conventions can vary.

Percentage is not total CBD

A 10ml bottle at 5% contains roughly 500mg CBD; a 30ml bottle at the same percentage contains roughly 1,500mg. Percentage stays the same while the container total changes.

Use consistent units

Our strength calculator converts the bottle facts into mg/ml, approximate percentage and price per 100mg so products can be compared on the same basis.
